After the holidays were over this year my husband and I took advantage of the time off to drive west and enjoy some of the beauty of the area. A great time to catch my breath before moving into the new year. I think I would have paused just a bit longer and breathed a bit deeper, if I had known what was waiting for me and my family just after the first of the year. This photo, taken where the Pacific Ocean and Hwy 101 meet, now serves as a reminder to really enjoy those moments of quiet when you can catch your breath. They are a gift from above.
